You also want to consider reliable companies that provide solid warranties. Should a problem arise and you need to make a warranty claim, you want to make sure you are covered and the manufacturer will be here 10 years from now.
Larger manufacturers will be most dependable. For example Dupont who manufacturers Corian and Zodiac counters has been in business since 1806! You can rest assured, they will be here for a long time. Having this piece of mind makes a difference.
