Preparing For A Remodel
The best advice we can give you is to start getting ready 2-3 weeks prior to having us start your project, this is especially true for Kitchen remodels. By having more time to prepare and get organized, you will find the task much less stressful.
Declutter
Remodeling gives you the perfect opportunity to declutter and toss old items you no longer use. So we recommend really taking the time to look through your kitchen or bath and removing all those items that are never used. If you choose to donate the things you no longer need, Salvation Army has a pickup service! You can call 1-800-SA Truck, and they will come to your home to pick up your donation with 7-14 days. By removing the clutter, you will have less to unpack when we are complete, and you will have more usable storage space.

Organizing
So now that you have decluttered your kitchen or bath. Then next thing you want to do is pack up all of the items you would like to keep. Sounds simple, but the key here is to clearly label each box and make a maniffest that describes what is in each box. This may be a little time consuming, but when it comes time to unpack, it will be so much easier.
There are also some great products available from U-Line corporation that making packing easy. Shown below is a specialty box made to protect drinking glasses, and a specialty insert made for protecting your dishware. We also recommend to keep a box within quick reach that contains essentials that you may need during the remodel.
Final Items
If you have any items that you would like to provide for installation, it is important these items are available at the start of the project. Remember, most building materials have a 3-4 week lead time, so give yourself plenty of time to have these items ready.
If there are items that must be finalized at our showroom, please contact your project manager to arrange a visit.

Our Landing Area
During the remodeling process we will need a landing area, to place our tools and materials. Most times our customers designate the garage for this purpose. So you may want to clear an area in advance, so it is ready for our installation team. If you would like us to use a different area, that is just fine, please let us know upon arrival.
Securing Your Property
If you plan on being away from the jobsite, please provide our project forman with a way to secure your property. A garage code is best, you can usually set a temporary code with ease. Otherwise, a garage door opener or key to the property will suffice. We must secure your home if we should need to pickup materials or leave the jobsite for any reason.

Our arrival
Upon arrival our installation team will lay tarps from the entry way to the project area. We try our best to contain dust and debris to a confined area. If you have specific items that are of concern, please notify you project forman.
