Featured Project - Barrington Kitchen Remodel
This Kitchen remodel was designed for a customer located in Barrington, Illinois. The rich cabinetry is Cherry wood with a Mocha stain from Bertch Legacy. The Mocha stain really helps disguise the typical busy woodgrain of a natural cherry cabinet. The doors and drawers are a square raised profile; which is more of a traditional door style, but it works well with the busy granite.
The Jenn Air appliances are a wonderful addition to the kitchen. The bottom freezer at the fridge is very functional, and the double ovens make a large dinner party easy to handle. The microwave is concealed at the island, and the cooktop features a down draft exhaust system that runs through the floor joist.
For the countertops, we utilized Delicatus White granite, a unique mixture of white, black and taupe coloring. The backsplash is simple and intended to compliment the counters and not be overpowering. The glass at the backsplash adds a pretty shimmer to the room when the undercabinet lights are on and also helps add a contemporary touch to the kitchen.
For the flooring we installed a 3/4" American Red Oak floor and applied a light minwax stain and polyurethane treatment. The floors have the ability to be re-stained up to three times during their lifetime and are great for families with small children.
