Featured Bathroom Remodel
This bathroom was inspired by a home our customer saw on a house walk. She was attracted to the marble she saw around a fireplace, and wanted to build her bathroom around it. Her concern was the marble (Rainforest Green) is very busy, so we used it sparingly in conjunction with a porcelain tile that has the appearance of natural stone.
The Bertch cabinetry is a Cherry wood, with a dark Mocha Stain, and it really does a nice job of pulling the dark brown from the Rainforest Green marble. We also stained all of the wood trims and door to match the Cherry wood cabinetry for a streamlined look.
For all of the trims and faucets, we used a brushed nickel finish, which adds a modern feel to the space, and shows less fingerprints and buildup than Chrome. The faucets are HansGrohe, and the quality of these faucets are impressive, as well as the esthetic.
The tub we installed is an "air bath", which is a bit different than a whirlpool; the tub has lot's of little jets around the perimeter that create a more subtle massage action. For the tub deck and countertops, we installed a subtle beige Crema Marfil marble. The marble helps bring the beige from the shower into the rest of the room for a more unified look. It also let's the dramatic Rainforest Green stand out without conflict. The actual tub deck extends into the shower and becomes a seat, this creates a very functional shower, plus it looks great!
Overall this bathroom, was a fun bathroom to design and build. The end result was affordable, and elegant. If you would like to learn more about this bathroom, or if you would like to receive an estimate please contact us at (847) 296-5500.
