Kitchen Remodeling
Remodeling your kitchen is a task not to be overlooked. The kitchen has become the heart of your home, the gathering place used to entertain guests, help the kids with homework, or take that last call of the day from the office.
When designing your kitchen it is important to not only create an attractive space, but to think about your long term needs. The longer you decide to stay in your home, the better the materials you select need to be in order to stand the test of time.
Most customers ask us for a happy medium. They want a kitchen that is attractive, cost effective, functional and they want products that will last.
Creating A Functional Kitchen
So how do you achieve the ideal space? The first thing you need to do is determine what works about your existing kitchen, and what does not. Here are a few items that we like to incorporate into our kitchen designs. Most customers select the items they feel they need most. These specialty cabinets, increase the cabinet cost, so it is important to select wisely!
Lazy Susans
These are great for making solid use of an otherwise dead corner space. Every company makes these differently. Bertch Legacy for example offers no center support bar, so your space is maximized. These are adjustable and rotate, so you don't have to bend down on your knees to get to the items in the back of the cabinet.

Roll Trays
Roll trays are inserted in just about any base cabinet 12"- 30" wide, and offer another easy way to get to those hard to reach items in the back of a cabinet. For years they were considered an upgrade, but we consider these standard in every kitchen.

Built In Garbage Cans
Although not a necessity, it sure is nice not to have to look at a dirty garbage can when you walk into your new kitchen. There are several models available depending on the size you have to work with.

Mixer Cabinet
Tired of staring at your Kitchenaid mixer that you leave out on your counter, because it's just to heavy to move? This cabinet does the trick. It holds your mixer on a special spring loaded shelf. Simply slide the shelf upward and your mixer pops out of the cabinet and it is ready to use. This is really a great way to save lot's of back ache.

Pull Out Tray Dividers
This is a great cabinet for those that like to bake. The tray dividers hold your trays upright, and when you are ready to grab one, they pull forward like a roll tray. If you don't need the roll out function of this cabinet, you can also have the dividers mounted in a fixed position.

Pull Out Spice Rack
For those that love to cook, these are just great. We usually will flank these on either side of a range, for easy access to your spices. Honestly, if you are not an active cook, these might be an overkill. For those who still want storage for their spices without losing space, you can also have a spice rack built into just about any wall cabinet.

Built In Cutting Board
You lose a drawer by using one of these, but you gain a very functional, time saving chopping block. You simply flip down what appears to be a cabinet drawer and pull out your chopping block. These are removable for easy cleaning, and you never have to worry about finding your cutting board again!

Wicker Baskets
Not really the most functional use of space, but we like these because it breaks up the look a bit and gives you an unconventional storage area. Great for newspapers, magazines, kids homework, and just about anything else you need quick access to.

Super Base Organizer
This is the "Cadillac" of organization! You get four functions built into one cabinet. This cabinet includes 3 roll trays, a spice pullout, door racks, and adjustable shelves! It is a great option for those tight on space. The downside? It measures 36" inches, so the footprint is a bit large. Also, this tends to be a bit costly for the average kitchen.

Wall Organizer Wall Cabinet
This is a great cabinet for those that like to write bills or open mail in the kitchen. The bottom portion of the interior of this cabinet has mail slot dividers. It is easy to stay of you paperwork with this cabinet and the greatest part is the organizer is concealed. No messy stacks of bills on the counter!

Message Center Wall Cabinet
A great alternative to the wall organizer, this cabinet is usually placed at the end of a run, as the depth is only 6.5". It features a dry erase message board, mail organizer, and pen holder. We love this cabinet!
